KAWASE
learned composition from his high school days by self-education,
and began his own creation from 1991 .
From
middle of 1990's, he started activity in the field of
commercial music,
such as TV commercials, web contents, show events and
more.
In
1998, he organized a video art collective called "n"
ensemble orb,
and has been engaged in music composition of many experimental
video art works.
This collective was selected for the PHILIP MORRIS
ART AWARD in 2002.
Also the end of 2002, they were invited to the Art Festival
"TOKYO
ZONE" held in Paris,
and showed their work.
From 2002 began creating works using the theme "sound
and light."
In May 2002, he announced the solo installation work
"Long Autumn Sweet Thing -prototype-"
at the 3rd SICF
(Wacoal art center/Spiral sponsorship), and was awarded
Grand Prix.
In
November 2002, he held the solo exhibition "Long
Autumn Sweet Thing" at Wacoal Art Center / Spiral,
Tokyo.
Since then, the career as an artist has been started.
Has gained attention for his style that uses the formless
materials of "sound and light"
to create works with breadth and power, speaking directly
to audiences.
In 2005, he participated in the Aichi Expo as a composer
to produce the soundtrack for the movie "PopulouSCAPE"
and for the performance "Creative Japan."
In 2006 presented BEARINGS GLOCKEN, a musical instrument
that performs automatically using ball bearings.
The world premier performance at the Wacoal Art Center/SPIRAL
(Tokyo) in November 2006
was enthusiastically received by people of all ages
and nationalities.
Awarded the 2002 Spiral Independent Creators Festival(SICF)
Grand Prix,
selected for the 2002 PHILIP MORRIS ART AWARD(as "n"
ensemble orb),
